Notting Hill House
A new build terrace infill in place of a two-storey cottage in Notting Hill. The contemporary façade of stacked stone columns is conceived to echo the variety of vertical glazing bar patterns of its neighbours and to allow light from the building to pass onto a north-facing cottage opposite, thereby reducing the impact on their daylight and sunlight. Behind the façade the building steps back at the upper levels to reduce its visual mass and further increase its transparency.
